Application process

How do I help to make my application successful?

  1. complete your profile: Ensure you complete your profile with all relevant information and your latest experience. When you apply a CV will be created automatically based on your profile and sent with your application. (Note: any additional uploaded documentation will not be included in your application)
  2. complete the application questions:
    Before sending your application you will be asked to answer a few application questions ensuring you are eligible to work as a freelancer, ensure you answer these truthfully. Non-compliance will result in the inability to be hired.
  3. add a rate:
    Please ensure the rate you provide includes all elements as per the commercials conditions of freelancing at Unilever (see terms & conditions section at the bottom of this page).
  4. apply fast!
    Last but not least ensure you seize the opportunity and don't delay application. Only a limited amount of applications will be accepted before the job will be put on hold and closed for any new applications.

I cannot apply: Why do I have to complete my profile before applying?

Based on your profile an automated CV will be generated and sent along with your application. (Note: any documentation uploaded to your profile will not be included!). Ensure your profile is up to date to increase your chances of a successful application. You can keep it up to date by adding to or amending all relevant information in the profile tab and the CV/RESUME tab.

I cannot apply: Why do I have to enter a talent pool before applying?

Being a member of a talent pool allows you to directly apply for a vacancy and have the highest chances of being successful with your application as there are only a limited amount of applications per position. The team will therefore review all talent pool applications as a pre-qualification before you can enter a pool and apply.

Who will review my application?

Our dedicated team will review your application and you will receive a notification if there are any updates on the vacancy status.

What should my proposed rate include?

All proposals and offers will be based on following conditions:

  1. Unilever and the Freelancer will agree on a hourly pay rate (exclusive VAT).
  2. The invoicing of the hours worked by the Freelancer will be done by Ajilon based on selfbilling. Invoicing shall be carried out on basis of actual hours worked and approved by Unilever.
  3. The pay rate shall be payable by Ajilon to Freelancer for the actual number of hours worked by the Freelancer, as far as these hours are controlled and approved by Unilever. Freelancer will provide the weekly hours worked actually by him in a manner that is indicated by Ajilon or MSP.

How will I be informed about (the status of) my application?

On this platform you can follow the status of your application. As soon as you reach the interview stage in the recruitment process, out team will reach out to you via email or phone to arrange a time for the interview. If you are rejected at any stage you will also receive an email confirmation.

What do I need to do when a supplier contacts me for a vacancy request?

As a freelancer you can decide how to work. Different suppliers will be contacted when new vacancies appear. Jobs will be sent to this platform the same time as to the other preferred suppliers.

Can I make a separate agreement on travel costs or does this need to be included in my hourly rate?

Commuting costs are included in your hourly rate. Please refer to the commercial terms and conditions to ensure you are aware of everything that needs to be included in the rate you include in your application.

Will the offered rate be the final rate?

After the interview with the hiring manager and receiving feedback, the team will reach out to you to negotiate the final rate.

How fast will I be informed about my application?

This depends on the urgency of the vacancy, we aim to process all applications as soon as possible.

Can I withdraw an application?

If you want to withdraw your application please email to supportteam@talent-pool.com with a reference to the vacancy posting ID which can be found in the vacancy.

Can I request a higher rate than the rate mentioned in the vacancy posting?

If you request a higher rate than the rate mentioned in the posting your application will be rejected.

Freelance Platform, profile & talent pools

What kind of assignments will be available via the Platform?

These will be temporary assignments within the client, suitable for freelancers

How will I be informed about new projects?

As soon as you have created an account on the platform and have signed up to talent pools that match your skills and experience you will receive notifications as new vacancies are posted, linked to that talent pool. You can also visit the platform to search for current opportunities.

Why should I complete my profile?

Completing your profile will help us to keep you updated on relevant opportunities. More importantly, if you apply to a vacancy, a CV will be generated automatically, based on the profile you have created, and sent with your application. You can also download this document for your own use. (Note: if you have uploaded any documentation in your profile these attachments will not be included in your application)

How can I edit my profile?

Select 'My Profile' from the top navigation. Then click on 'Edit Profile'. Make sure to also enter your CV details under 'Edit CV'.

Why should I sign up for the talent pools?

Can I sign up for more than one talent pool?

Yes you can. After requesting access to a talent pool the team will review your profile and determine whether it is a fit. You will then receive an email confirmation if your request has been accepted or denied.

I received a new vacancy alert but can no longer find the opportunity on the platform?

Unfortunately it seems like you have responded too late to this opportunity. There are only a limited number of applications that will be accepted before the vacancy goes on hold and is closed for new applications. It might re-open if we have not identified a suitable candidate for the vacancy.

How can I delete my profile?

For deleting your complete profile data, please reach out to techsupport@talent-pool.com.

Contracting & compliance

What should my proposed rate include?

How will contracting be arranged?

The contracting will be done via a broker.

How (and when) will I get paid?

You will be paid by the broker. You will need to register your hours in the VMS system, Fieldglass. After all assignment details have been agreed, the team will establish contact with the broker and arrange a Fieldglass account to be set up for you. Payment will be done on a weekly basis with a payment term of 65 days.

What is the discount that should be included in my fee?

The fee you submit with an application should be inclusive of elements that will be deducted to reach your payrate, these elements are a EUR 1,20 Broker fee and a 5,95% management fee (exclusive VAT).

Example:

  1. agreed original Freelance rate: € 85,00 per approved work hour exclusive VAT
  2. discount per hour: € 5,06 (5.95% Philips Flexfinder) +
  3. € 1,20 (Broker Fee) per worked hour
  4. final Freelance rate: € 78,74 per approved worked hour exclusive VAT

How long can I perform projects for this platform?

The maximum period you can work is 1 year with an extension for a maximum of 1 year (total 2 years).

What is the impact of the DBA law when working via the platform?

The assigned broker will check if the assignment fulfills the conditions according to the Law DBA.
